Watch: Overlooked Team India Veteran Yuvraj Singh Returns to Training

The overlooked Team India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has returned to training to gain back his fitness in a bid to return to the national team during the upcoming Asia Cup 2018.
Meanwhile, the last time Yuvraj represented his country was way back in 2017 against Windies. Since then, he has struggled with his fitness and has failed to clear the mandatory Yo-Yo test.
Moreover, southpaw Yuvraj also lost his place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) squad in later stages of the eleventh edition of the cash-rich league He was also inconsistent with the bat as he failed to impress throughout the recently-concluded season.
The all-rounder from Punjab has had an illustrious career and was pivotal for India in 2011 ICC World Cup. He scored 362 runs and bagged 15 wickets to win the Player of the Tournament award during the World Cup triumph.
The veteran cricketer also played a pivotal role in the 2007 Twenty20 InternationalICC World Cup as India lifted the debut trophy.
However, since he sustained cancer during the 2011 World Cup campaign, he lost his fitness. But with his sheer passion, he came back to the national side but lost his old touch.
Overall, Yuvraj has played 304 One-day Internationals, and 58 T20Is; scoring 8,701 and 1,177 runs respectively and has bagged 111 and 28 wickets. But, Yuvraj struggled to make a mark in the Test format while playing only 40 games over nine years.
Yuvraj Singh returns to training:
The cricketer from Punjab in a bid to regain his fitness has returned to practice. He has started his gym session and has given a hint of raising the bar very quickly. Yuvraj will be keen to return to the national side.
The veteran Team India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh took to social media platform to inform his fans announce about his training schedule.
“It’s been a very interesting first week of testing ,learning and training! with a very professional team @coldupeuch 3 more weeks to go time to raise the bar,” the post read.
