While the action has turned out to be very effective in international cricket, not many have managed to master it. And a tennis-ball bowler has recently showed just how tough it is to master that action.

In a video that has become all across the internet, the bowler ended up bowling a bizarre delivery while trying to execute his action. It looked all fine when he came charging in from round the wicket to bowl to a right-handed batsman. But just at the final moment, the bowler could not deliver the ball like he wanted to.

Instead the ball went flying past the fielders in the off-side. All that the fielders could do was to see the ball sail over them. One of the fielders chased the ball but it was of no use as the ball crossed the boundary.

Over the years, we have seen a number of bowlers in international or domestic cricket lose their line and length but none of them have bowled anything like the one bowled by the tennis-ball bowler. While wides are a part and parcel of the game, the world must be seeing something like this for the first time.
