Pat Cummins, on Thursday, showed why he is the highest ranked Test bowler in the world by dismissing Mayank Agarwal with a beauty in the ongoing Test against India at the Adelaide Oval. The India opener scored 17 off 39 balls.

India were off to a disastrous start after their skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first. Prithvi Shaw could not even open his account when Mitchell Starc castled him on the very second ball of the match. Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara then steadied the ship.

Both the batsmen took an extra cautious approach as they hardly went for any scoring shots. They had added just 32 runs in 106 balls when Pat Cummins bowled Mayank Agarwal with the stunning delivery just when it looked like the opener had his eyes set.

Pat Cummins bowled his delivery on a good length outside off which nipped back in sharply. Mayank Agarwal, on his part, was a bit late getting forward and eventually stayed flat-footed while poking his hands into a push. As a result, the ball went through the gate and dislodged the bails.

Here is a clip of the dismissal:

Talking about the game, India were on 32 for 2 in the 20th over at the time of compiling this report. Pujara and Kohli were in the middle, fighting it out to lay the foundation for a good total for the visitors. With Australia’s record in pink-ball Test being stunning, India will be looking to do well with the bat.

Australia have played seven pink-ball Tests so far including four in Adelaide and have won all of them. India, on the other hand, have played just one pink-ball Test so far.
