India’s wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant went for his shots from ball one, and everyone sensed his end. The visitors are in deep trouble; Pant came in to bat once Rohit Sharma perished. Australia restricted India to 86/5 before Pant, and Cheteshwar Pujara added some vital runs. Although Rishabh had quite a banter going with pacer Mitchell Starc, the batter missed a few but somehow managed not to edge it off Nathan Lyon.

Rishabh Pant looked out of sorts
Initially, Starc laughed and passed a few words to the batsman’s ears. However, the hosts never looked like needing their fifth bowler, as India has been quite poor with their shot selection.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul once again disappointed with the bat. He looked clueless and ended up losing his stick for mere two runs. Murali Vijay soon followed him. However, it was the wicket of Virat Kohli that turned out to be the talking point. In-form Kohli edged one, and Usman Khawaja dived off to catch a stellar.
Explosive Pant pays the price
It was Nathan Lyon who got the priced wicket of Pant, as the explosive batter made 25 hitting two boundaries and a six. Meanwhile, the management will be upset by the way the innings was played out. India will be concerned with the shot making. Pant is still finding his feet at the Test circuit.
However, the 21-year-old has played just five Test matches, and this is his first Down-Under. Also, he has a ton and a couple of the fifties to his credit. As of now, with Wriddhiman Saha injured, Pant would be eager to make the most of the opportunities. Meanwhile, India has had a poor run in away series this year, as they lost to South Africa 2-0 and got hammered by England 4-1.
Moreover, the hosts will look to make inroads and floor down Kohli and Co. in no time. For fans, who woke up early morning, it turned out to be a disappointing morning.
