Rohit Sharma had a stunning homecoming on Wednesday as he starred in India’s thumping win over West Indies in the third T20I. India needed a solid start with the bat on the good batting pitch after being asked to bat first and Rohit Sharma duly obliged. He along with his opening partner KL Rahul took the West Indies bowlers to the cleaners.

The two started firing on all cylinders right from the word go as India raced away to 50 in just 25 balls. By the time the powerplay ended, the scoreboard was reading an ominous 72 for no loss. Even after the end of the fielding restrictions, there was no stopping Rohit Sharma and Rahul as the two kept playing the big shots at will.

India went on to cross the 100-run mark in just the 8th over. The partnership was eventually broken by Kesrick Williams in the 12th over when he dismissed Rohit to end the 135-run stand. Prior to his dismissal, Rohit Sharma scored 71 off just 34 balls. His stunning knock was studded with 6 fours and five sixes. As Rohit was walking out of the field, he was given a standing ovation.

Soon after the right-handed batsman was dismissed, a very adorable moment was captured by the camera. The India vice-captain was seen adorably trying to talk to his daughter Samaira who was in the stand with Ritika Sajdeh. The video of the cute moment was posted on Twitter by Rohit’s IPL team Mumbai Indians.
