Not many can keep their emotions under control like Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the way Rohit Sharma reacted after a DRS call went India’s way pretty much proves it. Both Rohit and Dhoni were sitting in the dugout when the incident happened, but while the latter like he always does was not perturbed at all, the former did make his feelings clear.
The incident occurred on the first ball of the seventh over when KL Rahul was given out lbw off Angelo Mathews. The ball had swung in at the last moment and rapped Rahul on the pads. The Sri Lankan fielders went up in unison and the on-field umpire duly obliged. However, Rahul was not convinced, and after consulting his partner, he immediately reviewed the decision. Replays showed that the ball was missing leg and was going over as well and consequently, the umpire had to overturn his decision.
And as soon as the decision was overturned, the camera focused towards the Indian dressing room where Dhoni and Rohit were sitting together. But while the former India skipper, who was set to go out for batting had the decision not been overturned, calmly took off his helmet, Rohit was seen clapping animatedly to express his delight.
Here is a clip of that incident:
