The vice-captain of the Indian team Rohit Sharma once again delivered a blistering knock for the Indian team when it mattered the most. The flamboyant batsman displayed his class in the middle with his brilliant knock across the park. He took West Indies’ bowlers to the cleaners with his incredible hitting all over the park. During his knock, he smashed a stunning six off Jason Holder even after losing his balance in the middle.
It was in the 36th over of India’s innings when Jason Holder was hoping to finish the over with a decent delivery. Though he bowled a brilliant wide-line delivery, Rohit Sharma was smart enough in getting underneath the ball despite losing his balance in the middle. Rohit Sharma scored 159 off 138 balls:
It was one of his five sixes during his scintillating 159-run knock off 138 balls. Apart from those massive sixes, Rohit Sharma knocked 17 boundaries as well.

During the course of his knock, Rohit Sharma smashed quite a few records to his name as well. It was his 28th ODI century and joined Sri Lankan all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya at the fourth position in the list of batsmen with maximum ODI centuries.
Rohit Sharma, who joined an elite list of Indian batsmen after crossing 11,000 List A runs during his innings, is now also the leading run-scorer in ODIs this year. He went past India captain Virat Kohli, who still has the chance to overtake his star opener in the final ODI of the series.
