Watch: Shikhar Dhawan Sweats it Out in Nets Ahead of Australia Tour

It has been a roller-coaster ride for Shikhar Dhawan in the last one year. The initial phase saw him displaying top-notch cricket across the format to bag the A+ contract. However, in the second phase, he got knocked out from the team after the poor batting display in foreign conditions in Tests.

Surprisingly, it made an impact on his white-ball cricket as well. After getting ignored for the Windies Tests, Dhawan fared pretty poorly in the ODI games. The opener failed to convert his starts into big tallies thus ending the five-match ODI series without a big knock.

However, he proved his worth by knocking the match-winning knock when it mattered the most. Chasing a big tally on the board in final T20I in Chennai. Shikhar Dhawan stood firmly in the crease to guide India in the massive chase.

Coming to the topic, Shikhar Dhawan, in his latest post, added a video of him practising in the nets ahead of the Australia tour. Further, he quoted saying he is aiming for the perfect shot and termed it as his Monday motivation.

As far as future tours are concerned, Dhawan will be looking forward to proving his mettle in the series against Australia. He has always got a decent record against Australians and wants to better it even further.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan got named in the T20I and ODI formats of the game. It would be interesting to see how the stylish southpaw would manage his time as a long Test series is scheduled between ODI and T20I formats.

Hopefully, things would fall in place for Shikhar Dhawan in the Australian conditions and get back to his mojo ahead of the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
