The incident took place in the 49th over of the first innings on Wednesday in Visakhapatnam. Shreyas Iyer, who was batting on 53, tried to hit Sheldon Cottrell out of the park in his final delivery of the over. But, Unfortunately, all he managed was an edge, which went straight into the hands of Shai Hope behind the stumps.

Getting into the details of the game, it was splendid innings for India in Visakhapatnam. Both the openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul showed their class in the middle with the finest centuries for the team. The duo added 227 runs for the opening wicket in 37 overs to give a perfect platform for the middle-order batsmen to go berserk in the middle.

However, the skipper Virat Kohli failed to make things fall in place. But, the young Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer smashed brilliantly to help India post a massive total on the board. Shreyas Iyer registered 53 runs off 32 balls, that was laced with three fours and four sixes.
