Tabraiz Shamsi makes headlines with his unique celebration
In the video going viral, Tabraiz Shamsi was seen taking out a piece of cloth after taking a wicket. He then waves it and turns it into what looks like a ‘magic wand’ by completing his trick on the field. The incident took place in the eighth over of the match when Shamsi bowled a loopy leg-spinner to Wihab Lubbe, who danced down the tracks in a bid to clear the boundary rope. However, Lubbe failed to time the ball and skied it only for Hardus Viljoen to take a comfortable catch.
Shamsi had earlier revealed that magic is something which has always fascinated him. Tabraiz Shamsi also said that he wanted to be a magician while he was a child before shifting his focus to cricket.
“I have always been fascinated by magic and different tricks,” Shamsi had said. From the age of about 15 or 16, I wanted to become a magician as it was a hobby of mine. It wasn’t just a phase, but something that really interested me as a small child. I still love it, but cricket obviously took over after that,” he added.
