Delhi Daredevils pace bowler, Trent Boult has taken the catch of the tournament so far to dismiss Virat Kohli. The dismissal came at a crucial juncture of the game.
Riding high on the heroics of Rishabh Pant, Delhi Daredevils had posted a challenging 174/5 in their innings. The Delhi bowlers also did a considerable job in the power play overs to take two quick wickets.
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers decided to counter attack the bowlers.
The duo had stitched a fast-paced partnership to revive the innings. Just when the match was tilting towards Royal Challengers??? side, Trent Boult took a stunner of a catch to dismiss in-form, Virat Kohli.
Naturally a left-armer, Trent Boult plucked the catch out of thin air with his right hand.
Harshal Patel bowled a low full toss onto the pads of Virat Kohli. The skipper quickly flicked the ball onto the deep square leg boundary. Trent Boult who was placed right to the ball had to adjust quickly.
The ball was travelling at some speed, but Boult plucked the ball much to the awe of the audience. He was just centimetres away from the boundary ropes when he fell back.
The catch did mesmerize the fans with the quality of effort involved in it. Some even termed it as one of the best catches in the IPL history.
