Watch: Umesh Yadav Destroys Will Rhodes' Off-Stump For His Second Wicket In The Warm-Up Match

India veteran fast bowler Umesh Yadav shattered County Select XI captain Will Rhodes’ off stump to give his side the fourth breakthrough. India are currently engaged in a three-day warm-up fixture against the County Select XI in Durham ahead of the five-match Test series against England. Rhodes departed for 11 after facing 38 balls.
The dismissal occurred in the 28th over as Umesh Yadav came from round the wicket and castled Will Rhodes to send his off-stump cartwheeling. Rhodes, along with opener Haseeb Hameed, appeared to stabilize things after Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj rocked the top order. Umesh Yadav currently has figures of 10-3-18-2. Nevertheless, Hameed, who got the nod in England’s Test squad has done justice to himself by striking a fifty.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul’s hundred rescued a wobbly Indian side, while Ravindra Jadeja also made 75 runs. They were eventually bundled out for 311. But the tourists have injury concerns as Avesh Khan played no further part after injuring his left thumb on day one. Apart from that, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane did not feature in the three-day practice game against the County Select XI in Durham as the former had a stiff back and the latter had a swollen hamstring.
