Virat Kohli and his men made a perfect start to day-night Tests by dismantling Bangladesh. It took India just over two days to see off the beleaguered visitors. India thrashed Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs to sweep the two-match series. The win was India’s fourth straight by an innings as they became the first team to achieve the incredible feat.

India were on top right from the start despite losing the toss. Bangladesh’s decision to bat first was a poor one as India’s pacers made life difficult for them. Bangladesh were all out for a paltry 106 with Ishant Sharma picking up five wickets. Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami also made their marks by picking up three and two wickets respectively.

India, in reply, declared their innings on 347 for 9 thanks to a classy ton from Virat Kohli and fifties from Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane. Bangladesh failed to do well again with the bat in the second innings as they managed just 195. Umesh was the pick of the bowlers this time, picking up five wickets while Ishant picked up four.

Things got awkward at presentation ceremony:

Virat Kohli had his hands full at the post-match presentation ceremony. And during that very ceremony, the India star faced a situation which was awkward as well as hilarious. He was receiving the Swag Star of the Match award when the incident took place. Virat Kohli and the trophy presenter shook hands before the India cricketer extended his hands once again to take the trophy.

However, the presenter, who was holding the trophy to his chest, thought that Kohli wanted to shake hands again and duly did it. Virat Kohli then hilariously asked for the trophy before bursting into laughter.

Here is a video of that incident:
