Watch: Virat Kohli & Co. Can't Contain Their Laughter As Yuzvendra Chahal Bamboozles Glenn Maxwell Again

How many times does a bowler need to dismiss a batsman to call him his bunny. Well, going by Yuzvendra Chahal and his teammates especially captain Virat Kohli‘s reaction, it seems getting a batsman out on three consecutive occasions that too with more or less similar ploy is more than enough. Australia batsman Glenn Maxwell fell to Chahal for the third time in the ongoing series.

In the first match, Maxwell was taking the Indian bowlers to the cleaners before Chahal bowled one outside the off and the right-handed batsman ended up miscuing it to long-on. In the following game at the Eden Gardens, Maxwell danced down the track and Chahal bowled a straighter one which sneaked through the former’s leg and MS Dhoni did not commit any mistake in taking the bails off.

Well, Sunday (September 24), witnessed a similar dismissal with Chahal being the bowler, Maxwell being the batsman and Dhoni doing the rest behind the stumps. Maxwell once again charged down the track but Chahal cleverly tossed the ball wide. The Australian went after the ball, only to miss it completely before Dhoni whipped the bails off in a flash.

And as soon as Maxwell was dismissed, Chahal and Kohli’s reaction said it all, perhaps indicating that dismissing Maxwell is a piece of cake for the leg-spinner. In fact, the usually calm and composed Kedar Jadhav also joined the party.

Here is the clip showing the moments when the Indian players enjoyed Maxwell’s dismissal:

Meanwhile, India defeated the world champions by 5 wickets to win the third ODI and go 3-0 in the five-match series. Batting first, Australia rode on Aaron Finch’s century to post a challenging 293 for 6. However, India, led by Pandya’s 78, chased down the total inside 48 overs to seal the series.

An avid cricket lover, I just love this game more than anything. Writing about cricket keeps me closer to the game.
