KL Rahul, on Thursday, once again came back to haunt Royal Challengers Bangalore as he smashed a whirlwind century against his former team to power Kings XI Punjab to a huge 206 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs. The Kings XI Punjab captain smashed an unbeaten 132 off 69 balls.

His knock was studded with 14 fours and seven sixes. But things could have been very different had Virat Kohli not dropped his India teammate not once but twice. And KL Rahul has made Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore pay a big price for those two costly drops so far.

Virat Kohli first dropped Rahul on the final ball of the seventeenth over bowled by Dale Steyn when he was batting on 83. It was an easy catch and Virat Kohli had positioned himself for the same but somehow, he made a meal of it. Six balls later, Rahul miscued another one off Navdeep Saini at long-off and Virat Kohli was the culprit again. He was batting at 89 at that stage.

From thereon, it was only carnage as he slammed 42 runs in the next nine balls. In the 19th over, he scored 26 runs off Dale Steyn and completed his ton in that over too off just 62 balls. He then finished the innings by smashing Shivam Dube for two sixes and a four on the last three balls.
