Ever since Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot, the Bollywood actress has made sure to support her husband whenever she gets time. Earlier this year, Anushka had supported the team during the tour of South Africa and followed it up by attending almost all the games of Royal Challengers’ Bangalore in this year’s Indian Premier League.

And Anushka has now accompanied Kohli to England for the ongoing tour. The stunning actress, on Thursday, was at Trent Bridge to cheer India for the first ODI against England. She was very animated throughout the match and cheered for her husband.

India went on to win the game comprehensively, thrashing the hosts by 8 wickets. Barring the first ten overs of England’s innings, the Men in Blue thoroughly dominated the contest to emerge as victorious.

Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav was once again the wrecker-in-chief bagging career-best figures of six for 25 to blow away England.

As a result, England were all out for a modest total of 268 despite being 71 for no loss after ten. In reply, India chased down the total with utmost ease in the 41st over.

Meanwhile, the game was a special one for Kohli. It was the 50th time, he led India in One-Day Internationals.  Out of those, he has led India to wins in 39 games which are the joint-most for any player in their first 50 ODIs as captain.

India will be looking to seal the three-match series when they take on England in the second ODI on July 14.

An avid cricket lover, I just love this game more than anything. Writing about cricket keeps me closer to the game.
