That cricket is a gentleman’s game was once again proved by India skipper Virat Kohli on Saturday (February 10). During the 22nd over of the ongoing fourth ODI, a beautiful incident was witnessed when Kohli left the on-field rivalry behind and inquired about Morne Morkel after the latter fell awkwardly while attempting a tough catch.

The form Kohli is in at the moment, the oppositions need to make even the smallest of chances count to send him back. Not surprisingly, Morkel also went for a tough chance when his delivery took a leading edge of Kohli’s bat and ballooned in front of him.

Morkel bowled a short delivery at Kohli’s ribs which the India skipper tried to flick. However, he failed to make a good connection due to the bounce in the delivery. As a result, the ball took a leading edge and went up in the air for a while. And as soon Morkel sensed the chance, he went for it. The tall pacer made a desperate dive to pouch the catch but failed. In the process, he injured himself. He was seen lying upside down on the ground while clutching his back. But fortunately for the Proteas, Morkel stood up soon. A beautiful moment then soon followed when Kohli walked up to the bowler, put his hand on his back and talked to him.
