Watch: Virat Kohli's Brilliant Message For Afghanistan Cricket Board And Players
With Afghanistan making giant strides in international cricket despite facing so much political tensions, India skipper Virat Kohli has delivered a beautiful message for the Afghanistan cricket team as well as the board and praised the efforts of the players. In a video posted by the Afghan Cricket Board, Kohli congratulated the board for successfully staging the domestic T20 tournament despite the suicide bomb blast near the stadium during the tournament.
“I want to congratulate you on your T20 tournament and also wish you all the very best for the future and for the journey you’ve had in cricket so far. It’s been amazing to watch and I’ve been always following, to see what you guys have been doing,” Kohli said.
“I haven’t been to Afghanistan but I have heard a lot about it, your vision is very strong and I can see the passion, especially when I see the cricketers play,” he added.

Kohli further gave a piece of advise to the players, urging them to do their jobs with full passion and hard work before telling them to carve their own identity.
“What I have learnt in my small journey so far is that self belief and hard work will get you success for sure in whatever you do in life. There will always be some distractions but if you remain true to yourself, then success will come to you for sure. So whatever you do, do with full passion and work really hard towards it. That’s all I wanted to say and send across this message,” he said.
Afghanistan have made a giant leap in international cricket since being given the ODI status in 2011. They qualified for the 2015 World Cup and won their first game in the tournament by beating Scotland. Earlier this year, they drew an ODI series with T20 world champions West Indies before being given the Test status along with Ireland.
“Also, I want to say that create your own ideas, create your own identity. You always learn from people but never blindly follow anyone. You must always have your own character and have enough belief in that character,” Kohli added.
