Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh was most cherished for his efforts to help India lift the World T20 tournament in 2007 and the 50-over World Cup in 2011. The most iconic moment in his life came when he hit six sixes in one over against Stuart Broad in Durban.
Yuvraj – the star for India
However, just before the humongous effort happened, the southpaw was involved in an incident with English cricketer Andrew Flintoff. The heated exchange between them just before the over had triggered Yuvraj Singh’s adrenaline.
He eventually broke quite a few records on the night which helped India win the game. It is one of the most popular fights on the cricket field. But Australian cricketer Brad Hogg revealed much lesser known sledging incident during that World Cup.
After his record-breaking knock against England, Yuvraj Singh sat out of South Africa game due to injury.
But he made a return to the team for the semifinal against Australia. India were in a precarious situation having scored only 41/2 in eight overs when he walked in.

Australian cricketer Brad Hogg did not play that game but was the twelfth man for the team. When the second wicket fell, he ran into the ground carrying drinks.
But while he was returning, he saw Yuvraj Singh coming out from the dugout towards the crease.
When Hogg was going past Yuvi, the Australian said: “Ho ho, let’s see you hit six sixes today big Yuvi”
As soon as Hogg comforted himself in Australian dugout, Yuvraj Singh sent an epic reply to the sledge. He hit a six off the first ball over the deep square leg. Brad Hogg revealed he was left embarrassed after the incident. Yuvraj Singh eventually made 70 from 30 balls and helped India qualify for the finals.
It is not the first time Brad Hogg got involved in banter with Indian cricketers and came out on the wrong side. He had a similar incident with Sachin Tendulkar and the masterstroke that Sachin gave after is also very commendable.
In his interview with, What The Duck show, the veteran spinner has also admitted whenever he goes big with his mouth it always backfired in his career.
