Yograj Singh, former India cricketer and father of legendary Yuvraj Singh, has once again taken a shot at MS Dhoni. And this the reason is as bizarre as it could get. Yograj Singh has now accused MS Dhoni of being responsible for Ambati Rayudu‘s retirement. Rayudu caused a stir by announcing his retirement from international cricket out of the blue.
Rayudu’s retirement came in the wake of his World Cup snub. Despite being widely tipped to be India’s number four at the World Cup, the selectors went for Vijay Shankar. And Although Rayudu was named among five standbys for the World Cup, he was ignored twice when the selectors and the Indian team management opted for Rishabh Pant and Mayank Agarwal as replacements for the injured pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar.
Hurt with the turn of events, Rayudu did not hesitate in bringing down curtains on his career. And Yograj Singh, who has made a habit of criticising Dhoni, believes that the former India skipper was the man behind all of these. In a video that is going viral on social media, Yograj Singh compared Dhoni to filth and blamed him for Rayudu’s retirement. He also urged Rayudu to come out of his retirement.
“Rayudu Sir, my son you took the decision in a haste. Come out of retirement and show them what you are capable of. People like MS Dhoni will not remain forever, filth like these will not remain forever,” he said.
This is not the first time Yograj Singh has slammed MS Dhoni. In 2015, he had said that the wicketkeeper-batsman will be penniless one day after Yuvraj failed to make it to the World Cup squad. Recently, he said that he would expose Dhoni after the conclusion of the ongoing World Cup.
