Watch – Yuvraj Singh Smash Shadab Khan For A Flat Six In Global T20 League
India ‘s former talisman batsman Yuvraj Singh is making headlines in the ongoing Global T20 League. The southpaw batsman scored 35 runs from 21 balls which helped his team chase an imposing target of 192 runs against Edmonton Royals. Yuvraj Singh scored three fours and as many sixes in his quickfire knock of 35 runs.
Out of the three sixes, Yuvraj Singh smashed Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan for a flat six over the cow corner region. It was a typical Yuvraj Singh six as he played a short-arm jab shot. The swing arc didn’t even complete and Yuvraj was able to generate the power into the shot from his backlift.
Yuvraj Singh was at his best.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh had walked off the field in the first match despite being not out. He had struggled to get going as he had crawled to 14 runs from 27 balls. However, the vintage Yuvraj was back in full flow against Edmonton Royals in the third match of the Global T20 League.
On the other hand, Yuvraj Singh Punjab’s teammate Manpreet Gony was awarded the Man of the match for his blistering cameo of 33 runs from 12 balls. The right-handed batsman scored three fours and as many sixes to take his team over the line. The fast bowler scored his runs at a fine strike rate of 275.
“Pretty incredible, thought we were done in the game, thanks to Gony and some smart batting, we stole the game. We lost too many wickets, I got out, so did Polly, which was a big wicket, but Manpreet did the job. But we bat deep and knew we had a chance, we didn’t bowl all that well, pretty inexperienced in the bowling department,” stated Yuvraj in the post-match presentation.
Subsequently, Yuvraj Singh will look to continue his good form going in the Global T20 League. Edmonton Royals will next take on Brampton Wolves on July 28 whereas Toronto Nationals will be up against Winnipeg Hawks on July 29.
Here is Yuvraj’s flat-six which left Shadab Khan surprised.
