Not much went right for India in the second ODI against England on Saturday. The Men in Blue where beaten fair and square in the penultimate game of the series. Not surprisingly, the mood in the Indian dressing room was gloomy.

However, Yuzvendra Chahal managed to bring a smile on everyone’s face courtesy of his antics with the bat. The incident occurred on the fifth ball of the 48th over. David Willey bowled a half volley and Chahal unleashed a traditional straight-drive. He had timed the well as the ball beat a running Ben Stokes from long-on to the fence. And as soon as the ball crossed the boundary ropes, a hilarious scene unfolded. Chahal hilariously raised his bat and pointed towards the dressing room with a wide smile on his face.

Chahal’s antics entertained his teammates too as they burst into laughter.

Here is a clip of that incident:

Coming to the game, England thrashed India by 86 runs to level the three-match series. Batting first, the hosts rode on Joe Root’s century to post a challenging 322 for 7. Eoin Morgan and David Willey also scored fifties to help England put up a good total in the must-win clash.

In reply, India rarely looked in contention to chase down the total. They lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually all out for 236.
