Former India batsman Virender Sehwag has starred in another Star Sports advertisement ahead of the upcoming ODI series against Australia.

India were the firm favourites to win the recently-concluded T20I series against Australia. The Men in Blue were not only the team in form but had also enjoyed a stellar record over Australia in the shortest format of the game. Before the start of the series, India had 11 out of 19 T20Is played against Australia since 2007. Australia, on the other hand, had won only six, with two games being abandoned due to rain.

However, current form and stats went for a toss as the visitors inspired by Glenn Maxwell inflicted a humiliating whitewash on the formidable hosts. After losing the series-opener by three wickets, India came up with a fine batting performance in the do-or-die clash, scoring 190 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli had starred with the bat for India, scoring an unbeaten 72. His dazzling knock, however, went in vain as Maxwell, who had scored 56 in the first game, scored a sensational 113 to guide India to a series win.

It was Australia’s first series win across formats in India since 2008. Well, the loss has not only embarrassed high-flying Team India but also Virender Sehwag. In the buildup to the series, Virender Sehwag had starred in a Star Sports Advertisement to take a dig at the Aussies.

Taking inspiration from the babysitting sledge, Sehwag had hilariously trolled Australia, saying that India are ready to babysit the visiting team.

But with the advertisement backfiring, Sehwag knows he could face more embarrassment and has thus urged Team India to do well in the upcoming ODI series.  He has once again starred in another advertisement where he could be seen pleading to Team India to bounce back in the upcoming series.

“Hello, Bhai kya kar rahe ho tumlog yaar? Maine itne ad mein bol diya ki humlog babysitting karenge. Aur tum, bhai dekh lo, marwa mat dena yaar,” Sehwag is spotted as saying to someone over a phone call.

Meanwhile, the five-match ODI series between Australia and India will begin on March 2 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium (Jamtha) in Nagpur will host the second ODI on the 5th.
