Well, the match between Indian National Cricket Team and the Bangladesh Cricket Team is hanging in balance with the Delhi Weather taking the centre stage. With the smog increase in the state, the players are facing visibility issues, thus, the officials are puzzled regarding the start of the game on time.
On each day, the smog in Delhi is getting worse with Sun failing to get out of those clouds. On Thursday, when AQI was reading 427, Bangladesh player was seen wearing anti-pollution mask while training. Even on Friday, the weather hasn’t seen much of the changes with the quality check showing between 300-400 throughout the day.
Air Quality was poor in the afternoon:
It remained the same on Sunday as well. In fact, on Sunday, the visibility has become an issue in the morning hours. Speaking of the same, a BCCI source quoted to ANI saying that they haven’t called-off the game, as it is too early to take a call with the game set to take place on 7:00 PM.
Despite the calls, Delhi saw the visibility improve considerably in the evening and the fans have also started to gather at the Arun Jaitley Stadium for the first T20I between India and Bangladesh. Perhaps, it would be fine under the lights, however, the final call will be taken at the last moment. Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly felt that it is too late to call-off.
“The match has not been called off yet. It is too early to decide as the match is at 7 pm,” a source in the cricket body told ANI.

Coming to the match, Indians will be confident with the way things have gone in the recent past. All the batsmen are in decent form and are raring to go against Bangladesh bowlers. Rohit Sharma, in particular, has always got the special knocks against this opposition and would like to repeat the same.
On the other hand, Bangladesh is down with two of their best players staying away from the series. However, the form of the key players will be important for the team and would like to rely on Mustafizur Rahman when it comes to the bowling department.
The match is likely to go ahead as planned with the visibility at the ground has been brilliant. Most probably, the fans would get full-over game without any delays.
