South African wicketkeeper-batsman, Quinton de Kock recently revealed that hosts struggled to pick Kuldeep Yadav during One-day International series against India earlier this year.

Meanwhile, India created history by beating South Africa in their own backyard in the limited-overs fold. The Men in Blue thrashed Proteas by a 5-1 margin in 50-over series. And 2-1 in the three-match Twenty20 International series.

Virat Kohli and his men displayed an outstanding brand of cricket with leg-spinners rising to the occasion. The duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal did wonders while the Proteas batsmen kept guessing.

De Kock featured in first few games before being sidelined due to an injury. He admitted that the batsmen struggled in front of Kuldeep and had no clue whatsoever.

Moreover, de Kock showered heaps of praise on India’s bowling arsenal.

When they came to South Africa, they were not very well known. We struggled to pick Kuldeep [Yadav] in ODIs. He was bowling so slow we just didn’t know what to do,” said de Kock at an event as he was quoted by The Hindu.

De Kock raised concern on day-night Test

At a time when India decided not to feature in the pink ball Test for one more year, de Kock has raised concern over it.

Stating that it is a good concept, he added that there are still few rough edges which needed to go smooth.

There are still some rough edges that need to be made smooth,” said de Kock.

Meanwhile, Quinton de Kock is yet to set this IPL on fire plying his trade for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

I think it’s a good concept, but there are a couple of things that can make it a lot better. At certain times during the twilight period of play, it’s not the same as a red ball,” he added.

Proteas southpaw has scored 280 runs from eight games and will be desperate to score some runs.
