The three-match T20I series between India and West Indies have entertained the cricketing fanatics with its action in the middle. Both the teams came up with spirited performances to put fans on the edge of their seats for the most part of the series. Players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shimron Hetmyer, Kesrick Williams and Kieron Pollard stole the show with their work on the field.

Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran are two latest hits to have emerged from the Carribean Team. Two-time World Champions in the T20 format, West Indies are a different outfit when it comes to T20I. However, in the 50-over form, their batsmen fail to showcase the same intent and often lack the knowledge of how to construct an innings.

Speaking of the same, the assistant coach of West Indies Roddy Estwick asked the youngsters to look after Virat Kohli. He wants the players to work as hard as Virat Kohli to attain greater heights in the game of cricket, across the formats. He highlighted the work ethics of Kohli, who hits the gym regularly and works hard on his game.

“It’s exciting times for us when you look at guys like Hetmyer, Pooran and Hope. We have got young batsmen who are developing. But the key thing is how you prepare to work hard. You have got a benchmark in Virat Kohli. He is somebody who will be in the gym and work very hard,” he said on Friday.

“A lot of players can learn from him. Then, we have got a chance. Without hard work, there is no success. Hard work is boring, but it can give you great success. Once they keep working and dealing with the process, they will have a chance.”
