The seven-week series will start with Rajkot hosting the first Test on October 4. The full-fledged series will end with the third T20 in Chennai on November 11.
“WINDIES Men will be in India for almost seven weeks starting September 26. They will compete against India in 2 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20s,” a press release from West Indies Cricket Board stated.

The West Indies Cricket Board has also announced a 15-member team for the Tests, led by Jason Holder. West Indies will be flying to Bangladesh after the series while India’s next assignment will be the tour of Australia starting November 21.
The two teams had last played in 2017 when India had toured the Caribbeans for a limited-overs series just after the Champions Trophy. India had won the ODI series 3-1 while the hosts had won the one-off T20I.
The upcoming series will be West Indies’ first Test series in India after the famous tour of 2013-14. It was the very series where the legendary Sachin Tendulkar had played his last game. India, meanwhile, will start the series as firm favourites. Virat Kohli & Co. are not only the top-ranked Test side in the world but India has also enjoyed huge success against West Indies in recent times.
India have won all the last seven Test series against West Indies while the latter last won a series way back in 2000.
