Russell missed the second encounter to have treatment on his knee. Windies made a strong comeback in the series by winning the nail-biting thriller by just three runs.

The all-rounder who is an impact player in the limited-overs format is expected to be back for the impending Twenty20 International series.

Moreover, Sheldon Cotrell has been named as the replacement of Russell for the decider in St. Kitts. The left-arm pacer Cotrell will definitely look to make a huge impact. However, it will be a huge ask for him to replace some like Russell.

Andre Russell likely to return for the T20I series:

The three-match T20I series will commence on 31st July. The two other matches will begin on 4th and 5th August respectively. Russell has been a sensational limited-overs player for the Windies over the years.

However, he hasn’t been part of the national team for quite a long time. He has continued to make an impact for any franchises he went on to represent across the globe. Moreover, his exceptional all-round abilities have set him above his peers.

The muscular Caribbean professional is an integral part of any T20 team. Russell proved to be a big player for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Under the new captaincy of Dinesh Karthik, KKR managed to go through to the playoffs. They ended up losing the second qualifier to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) which halted their progress in the tournament. He is a huge striker of the ball.

So, it has made him a force to reckon with in the shortest format. Owing to his extraordinary skills, Russell’s career is hit by injuries.

Windies performed quite brilliantly in the Test series. The Bangladesh boys faced the stern test in all three departments of the game. However, the scenario is a lot different from the white-ball cricket.

The Tigers went on to pose a strong challenge and will hope to win the series. Moreover, the visitors have been a totally different unit in the shorter formats.

Also, here is the full squad for the final ODI for Windies against Bangladesh:

Jason Holder (captain), Devendra Bishoo, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed, Ashley Nurse, Rovman Powell, Sheldon Cottrell, Keemo Paul, Kieran Powell.
