In the four games he has played so far, he has struck one hundred and backed it up with two fifties. He along with KL Rahul looked rock solid in the top-order for the Kings XI team.

Moreover, Punjab is currently at the third spot in the points table with five wins from seven games. They are one of the possible contenders to qualify for the playoffs during edition eleven.

Talking to Cricbuzz, the Universe Boss revealed that he wants to win the title for Punjab. He also lauded KXIP owner Preity Zinta and admitted that she deserves a trophy.

KXIP have never won it. Our owner Preity Zinta is so fantastic, so enthusiastic. The way she roots for her players is just amazing and I think she needs to lift the IPL trophy this year,” Gayle noted.
