I believe Windies Have a Big Chance of Winning the 2019 World Cup: Chris Gayle

Star opener from Windies, Chris Gayle has recently revealed that they have a good chance of winning the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup which is scheduled in England and Wales.
The coveted tournament will be beginning on May 30 and the grand finale is slated for July 14 at the iconic Lord’s.
Meanwhile, Gayle is in India while featuring in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL). The mighty batsman has already set the tournament on fire while representing his new franchise Kings XI Punjab.

In the four games he has played so far, he has struck one hundred and backed it up with two fifties. He along with KL Rahul looked rock solid in the top-order for the Kings XI team.
Moreover, Punjab is currently at the third spot in the points table with five wins from seven games. They are one of the possible contenders to qualify for the playoffs during edition eleven.
Talking to Cricbuzz, the Universe Boss revealed that he wants to win the title for Punjab. He also lauded KXIP owner Preity Zinta and admitted that she deserves a trophy.
“KXIP have never won it. Our owner Preity Zinta is so fantastic, so enthusiastic. The way she roots for her players is just amazing and I think she needs to lift the IPL trophy this year,” Gayle noted.
Windies can win the 2019 World Cup –
The swashbuckling opener Gayle admitted that he believes Windies can win the mega event next year.
Meanwhile, the Caribbean team struggled to qualify for the tournament.
Moreover, they had to play the Qualifiers in Zimbabwe earlier this year – to make themselves available for cricket’s biggest event.

However, Gayle revealed that this is the next big aim after winning IPL.
“I believe West Indies have a big chance of winning the World Cup in 2019. I know we struggled in the qualifiers but now that we’ve made it, our next aim is to win it,” Gayle concluded.
Over the years, Chris Gayle has become one of the best batsmen Windies have produced in this format. Also, he has a healthy record to back his ability.
The veteran of 281 One-day Internationals has 9,585 runs to his name including 23-hundred with the highest score of 215.
