Well, Florida Cricket Stadium official confirmed to ESPNCricinfo that CWI subsequently reserved dates to hold a set of matches.

However, initially, Pakistan was likely to take part in the bilateral tournament as a reciprocal agreement. Moreover, Windies took part in a three-match T20I series in Karachi in April, this year (2017).

But Bangladesh were already due to tour the Carribean shores in July – a tour which was pushed back from March due to it clashing with the 2018 World Cup Qualifier that Windies took part in for two Tests and three ODIs.

According to the official, CWI further reserved August four and five respectively to stage the T20Is. It will be prior to the start of the 2018 Carribean Premier League (IPL) which is due to start from August 8.

Meanwhile, it makes a busy month of cricket in Lauderhill, as three CPL matches can also take place in the United States (US). Jamaica Tallawahs are likely to play few games at the particular venue during the CPL.

This will be the third time Windies will host a team in Florida. Windies played New Zealand in 2012, just a few months before winning the World Twenty20 title in Sri Lanka.

The Caribbeans then returned in August 2016 – to play a couple of T20Is against India, with the first match drawing a sellout crowd of 15,000 people.

However, there were some problems owing to the facilities at the venue following the non-availability of the Super Soppers.

As a result, the second game between Windies and India produced no result despite a thunderstorm lasted for only 20 minutes.
