Windies vs England 2019: 2nd Test Match, Antigua, Day 2 Report. The Windies are continuing to tick the right boxes while locking horns with England. At stumps on the second day of the second Test match, the hosts have taken a lead of 85 runs. The Windies were able to skittle out the visitors for paltry 187 in the first innings to once again put their noses in front.

In fact, all the Windies batsmen got off to starts. However, no batsman was able to cross the 50-run mark. The hosts got off to a stable start as their openers Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell added 70 runs for the opening stand.

Windies lead by 85 runs.

Brathwaite scored 49 runs whereas Campbell scored 47 runs. After John Campbell dismissal, Brathwaite and Shai Hope added 63 runs for the second wicket before the Windies opener was dismissed by Moeen Ali.

England was able to get back into the contest after picking the wicket of Shai Hope and Roston Chase in quick succession. Shimron Hetmyer and Shane Dowrich scored 21 and 31 runs respectively.

On the other hand, Darren Bravo has shown the resistance to bat long. The stylish southpaw batsman has faced 165 balls for his unbeaten knock of 33 runs. In fact, it is not an easy pitch to bat on and the batsmen are at sea while facing the balls.

Bravo has the company of his skipper Jason Holder, who is unbeaten on 19 runs. Holder had scored a majestic double hundred in the first match, where he was awarded the Man of the match.

England’s veteran seamer Stuart Broad who was dropped from the first Test match was able to prove his mettle. Broad had shown his disappointment after been left out and he scalped three wickets on the second day of the second Test. Moeen Ali who scored a valiant fifty in the first innings scalped two wickets whereas Ben Stokes took one wicket.

Windies: 272-6, Kraigg Brathwaite: 49, Stuart Broad: 2-54.
