The last night was a run-feast for the spectators at Barbados. Both the sides Windies and England displayed their high-class strokes to entertain the fans in the first ODI of the series. During the course, an uneventful incident took place when Darren Bravo’s huge six struck a lady in the crowd.

It was in the 39th over of the game when Moeen Ali was delivering to Darren Bravo, who was already in a decent nick. He swept Moeen Ali hard with his bottom hand coming into the play. The ball met the sweet spot of the bat, which travelled quite a far distance but landed on the face of a lady spectator.

England chased 360 with 8 balls to spare:

It was a pretty dark scene at the stadium at the time of an injury. However, the staff in the venue treated the lady and there are no reports regarding his recovery. However, this isn’t the first time, as we came across similar incidents in the recent past.

Coming to the match, it was Windies, who won the toss and chose to bat first. Making the most of the conditions, Chris Gayle and Shai Hope batted beautifully to knock the fence more often than not. During the course, the world boss, Chris Gayle smashed a stunning 135 on his return to ODI cricket.

He was equally supported by the other batsmen, who chipped in with cameos in the end. Bravo’s 40 and Ashley Nurse’s 25* off 8 balls saw them scoring a daunting 360-run tally on the board. Stokes and Rashid picked up 3 wickets each.

However, the effort of Chris Gayle went in vain, as England batsmen were too good in the chase. Jason Roy and Bairstow gave the perfect start while Joe Root and Eoin Morgan carried the onslaught. It was a collective batting performance from Englishmen to seal the victory. Roy and Root bagged centuries.
