The chairman of the Committee of Administrators Vinod Rai is yet to come to a decision on boycotting Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2019. He once again came up with a similar statement saying that there is enough time left in the bank to take a call on boycotting Pakistan in the upcoming major cricket event.

Recently, BCCI and CoA members involved in the meeting refused to take the final decision on playing Pakistan in the prestigious event. Instead, they want to go with the call of the Indian government.

Did we able to boycott any country in the Security Council or the United Nations?

Vinod Rai quoted that there is a lot of time left to take a call on the match against Pakistan in the grand event. He also made sure that if there is any need to take a call on the scenario, they would like to make it after consulting the Indian government.

When asked whether the issue of boycotting Pakistan from ICC World Cup 2019, Rai said, “Let the time come. I have always said, it’s still four months away.”  Referring to ICC’s response where it said that they cannot boycott any country, Rai added.

“See, it is a process which goes on slowly. Have we been able to boycott any of the countries in the Security Council or the United Nations? It goes on slowly. We have started the process.”

Recently, Vinod Rai said that they wrote a letter to the International Cricket Council citing the security concerns for the match between India and Pakistan in the grand event. However, the officials of ICC is pretty much confident of arranging proper security.

The issue raised after the terrorists based in Pakistan attacked Indian CRPF personnel at Pulawama. As many as 42 CRPF soldiers have lost their lives in the ghastly attack. Meanwhile, recently, the Indian Air Force attacked the bases of the terrorists and around 300 terrorists were killed as per the reports.

Well, it would be interesting to see the final decision of BCCI on the matter. A certain set of people are calling to boycott the game while few don’t want that to happen as it is the matter of the national pride.
