Former India batsman and father of Yuvraj Singh, Yograj Singh has taken another shot at MS Dhoni. In his latest tirade, Yograj Singh has said that MS Dhoni is responsible for the ouster of Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh from the national team. Yograj Singh has not stopped criticising Dhoni since Yuvraj failed to make the cut for the 2015 World Cup.

At that time, Yograj Singh had said that Dhoni would be penniless one day. Since then, he has not wasted a single opportunity to slam Dhoni. In the wake of Dhoni’s failure to take India over the line in the World Cup semifinal, Yograj Singh has slammed the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman once again. Dhoni tried his best against New Zealand by scoring a fighting fifty but it was just not enough to win the game.

Yograj Singh said that MS Dhoni used his proximity with former BCCI and ICC president N Srinivasan to help his cause. Talking to NNIS Sports, Yograj Singh came down hard on Dhoni. He also blamed the former India skipper for India’s loss in the 2015 and 2019 World Cup semifinals.

“Under the wings of your adopted father N Srinivasan, what didn’t you do? Ask your conscience, ask your soul. In 2015, you forcibly dropped Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir although they could have played. You dropped them by saying that those players have become old, they let the ball pass through their legs,” said Yograj.

“You have missed thousands of stumping and catches too but still you are playing. We lost the 2015 World Cup semifinal and the reason is you. We lost the 2019 World Cup semifinal and the reason is you,” added Yograj.
