Yusuf And Irfan Pathan Come Up With Incredible Gesture During Coronavirus Pandemic

In a heartwarming gesture, former India cricketers Irfan Pathan and his brother Yusuf have donated 4,000 masks to the needy amid the rapidly-spreading COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has been wreaking havoc all across the globe and India are slowly feeling the heat too.

In the last few days, the number of positive cases have increased in the country and the government has been taking all possible measures to contain the spread. On Sunday, people all around the country reacted positively to PM Narendra Modi’s Janta Curfew call by maintaining social distance.

And in the fight against the pandemic, the Pathan brothers have also done their bit. Irfan Pathan took to Twitter to confirm that he and his brother have donated masks among the needy.

“Doing our bit for the society. Whatever u guys can do please go ahead and help each other as far as sanitation is concerned. But don’t gather crowd!@iamyusufpathan #corona it’s a small start hopefully we will be keep helping more. Everyone of us,” wrote Irfan Pathan.

In the video that he posted on Twitter, Irfan Pathan said that he and his brother bought the masks in the name of the Mehmood Khan Pathan Charitable Trust, which is run by their father, and that the masks will be distributed to Vadodara health department, who will in turn distribute it to the needy.

Meanwhile, all the cricket events around the world is currently suspended due to the pandemic. Earlier this month, the BCCI suspended the IPL 2020 till April 15 before calling off the ODI series against South Africa. Reports suggest that a final call on IPL 2020 will be out by the end of this month.

The likes of Australia, New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka and other countries have also called off their international fixtures and domestic tournaments.
