Yuvraj Singh might be dropped from the central contract list that will be announced by BCCI in days to come.

He hasn’t played any international game for seven months now and is not in contention to be selected in the squad anytime soon.

This could really see his name being dropped from the central contract list.

He made his comeback o the national side last year for the home series against England.

Yuvraj went onto play completes series and retained his place in the side for ICC Champions Trophy too.

Post that, he also played the series against Windies before he missed few games due to injury.

He was later dropped but the selectors said that they have rested the all-rounder for the Sri Lanka tour

However, reports emerged that he had failed to clear the yo-yo test, which was the reason being him being dropped from the side.

Yuvraj went to work on his fitness and cleared the yo-yo test last year.

Though, he played just one Ranji game and selectors did not have any criteria to select him in the side.

In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Yuvraj managed 208 runs in nine innings at a strike-rate of 96.29.

He scored 172 runs in five games of Vijay Hazare Trophy.

This saw Yuvraj not being included in any of the Deodhar Trophy squads too.

IPL will be a platform for him to do well and make his comeback to the limited overs side.

Indian team is in desperate need of experience in middle overs, hence, the door is always ajar for an experienced player like him.

Recently, Suresh Raina also made a comeback to the side after showing little form in domestic cricket as the team needs experience.

He was also ignored for a place in the team and after clearing yo-yo test and showing form in domestic cricket, he made his comeback.

The same can be the case with Yuvraj. But for now, it seems like he might be dropped from the BCCI contract list.

Meanwhile, the players are all set to get a mega salary hike.

The salaries of players in Grade A  might be increased to Rs 12 Crore from Rs 2 Crore.

Players in Grade B might get close to Rs 8 crore from Rs 1 crore.

The salaries of players in Grade C could be increased to Rs 4 Crore from Rs 50 Lakh.
