Yuvraj Singh Takes A Hilarious Dig At Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant's Fitness

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been quite active in social media with the 13th season of the Indian Premier League in full flow. Yuvraj Singh has sung words of praises for plenty of youngsters in the current edition of the cash-rich league. However, on this occasion, the retired cricketer took a hilarious jibe on the fitness levels of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant.

Rishabh Pant has been in the spotlight for quite some time now, mainly after the BCCI announced India’s squad for the tour of Australia. Pant’s fitness levels and being overweight was amongst the reasons cited for his non-selection in any of the formats. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, while, is amongst the top-notch players in the Indian team; however, he seems a tad overweight too.

Mumbai Indians’ official Twitter handle posted a picture of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant speaking to each other after the 51st match of IPL 2020 in which Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals competed. The caption read as “Still waiting for that six-hitting competition between Pant and Ro. To which, Yuvraj Singh replied while tagging Rohit’s wife Ritika “Or a competition of fat percentage of fat competition on their cheeks”.

Despite not playing in the last few games due to a hamstring injury, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians have comfortably reached the playoffs, winning nine out of 13 games. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals looked set to make it to the knockouts; however, four consecutive losses have put them in an uncomfortable position. Rishabh Pant has remained one of the underperformers, managing 274 runs in ten games with a strike rate of below 120.
