Yuvraj Singh Likely To Participate In Qatar T10 League

In what comes as a massive boost to T10 format, star cricketers such as Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Hafeez, Angelo Mathews among few international cricketers are likely to feature in Qatar T10 League. It is no doubt that T10 format has been liked by the fans as it is thrilling and engaging. The two editions of the Abu Dhabi T10 League serve as a testament to the fact.

Now in the latest development, Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) is planning to organise its own T10 league. If things go as per the plans, then the fans might get to witness the inaugural season of the tournament which will go all guns blazing on December 7. Interestingly, renowned international cricketers are also likely to participate in the Qatar T10 League.

Yuvraj Singh, Angelo Mathews, Mohammad Hafeez likely to feature in Qatar T10 League

The 2011 World Cup-winning hero Yuvraj Singh who called it quits from cricket earlier this year is expected to spice it up in the tournament along with notable names like Mohammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Angelo Matthews. It appears that as many as 73 players have signed up for the league including 17 Qatari players and 24 cricketers from the Associated nations. The player draft event might happen within the next two-three days.

The Qatar T10 League, if everything goes well according to the plan, will see as many as 6 teams competing among themselves for the championship. The six teams are Pearl Gladiators, Flying Oryx, Desert Riders, Swift Gallopers, Falcon Hunter and Heat Stormers. These six franchises will be looking to pick the best players who are available for the competition.

These six teams will face each other once in the league stage before the top four teams make it to the semi-finals. Going by the current schedule, the final of the tournament will be played on December 16 with the third-place playoff also expected to take place earlier in the day. The QCA has also arranged an opening and closing ceremony in order to make it a visually striking performance for the cricket fans.
