Punjab have quite a few talents in their ranks in form of Shubman Gill, Mandeep Singh among many other. Rising India opener Shubman Gill believes that the return for Yuvraj Singh in domestic cricket will help the youngsters grow. The clearance for his return, is however, a subject to the cricket board clearance at the moment.

Yuvraj Singh had spent time in the Chandigarh camp with Punjab youngsters earlier this year. He had passed on some valuable lessons to them through his experience. Gill believes that the Punjab youngsters will be benefited through the presence of Yuvraj Singh.

“I think it will really be helpful for Punjab youngsters…We spent a couple of weeks with Yuvi Paaji. We were training with him and we also practiced (nets) with him,” Gill was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

“There were a lot of things that we talked about not just on the field but, you know, some things off the field. It was overall a really good experience for us,” said Gill.

Yuvraj Singh took the decision of making a comeback after he found out that he is still hitting the ball well in a few net sessions with the Punjab youngsters. With the comeback, the southpaw, aims to help his state team win the championship. He had also praised the young Punjab talent Shubman Gill, who has already played for India.

Yuvraj Singh was instrumental for India in the 2007 T20 World Cup and who can forget his all-round role in 2011 World Cup for which he was named the man-of-the-series. He was once the poster boy of  Indian cricket team and brought down the curtains on his career spanning nearly 19 years and 400 matches.
