Yuvraj Singh Shares Picture From His Debut India Tour, Recalls Fond Memories

Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh recently recalled the time from his international debut by sharing a picture from that time. Notably, the decorated cricketer earned his maiden India call-up ahead of the ICC Knockout Trophy in 2000.

The cricketer from Punjab has been one of the best all-rounders the world cricket has seen. More than his antics inside the field, Yuvraj will be well-known for fighting severe health issues like cancer and returning to the cricket field.

Recently, Yuvraj Singh shared an old picture of his along with teammates Rahul Dravid and Vijay Dahiya from his debut international tour. Yuvraj shared the image in the microblogging site stating that it as a priceless memory and a proud moment.

“Major throwback to getting selected for the first time to play for team India #proudmoment #pricelessmemory,” Yuvraj Singh tweeted.

One of the most successful white-ball cricketers of all time, Yuvraj Singh scored 8,702 runs in ODIs and including a total of 52 fifties. He has also represented India in Test cricket, earning 40 caps. However, he wasn’t a regular member of the Test side and faced stiff competition from his colleagues.

He played significant roles in India’s world cup winning campaign in 2007 and 2011. In the 50-over competition, Yuvraj battled cancer to help India lift the prestigious trophy after 28 long years. He also won the player of the series award for his antics with both bat and the ball. He announced his retirement earlier this year in June.
