Former Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh is well known for his witty replies. Yuvraj Singh took another dig at the team’s think tank for the number four position. Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh had backed Suryakumar Yadav to be India’s new number four after the right-hander scored a blistering knock of 31-ball 81.

The right-hander scored eight fours and six sixes for Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy against Chattisgarh. However, Yadav’s efforts went in vain as Mumbai lost by five wickets. But Yadav was able to catch the eyeballs of his former Mumbai Indians teammate Harbhajan Singh.

Suryakumar Yadav is also a consistent performer in the IPL.

Subsequently, the Turbanator took to his Twitter account to praise Suryakumar Yadav. The off-spinner said he is surprised to see why Suryakumar Yadav fails to make the cut into the national side despite scoring a truckload of runs in the domestic circuit.

Yuvraj Singh came up with a masterpiece as he said the think tank doesn’t require number four batsman as the top order is strong.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh had earlier also criticized the team management for their fickle approach of selecting the number 4 batter. India had backed Vijay Shankar and Rishabh Pant for the troublesome position in the World Cup but none of them had experience under their belt.

“The number 4 batsman has to be technically strong. Vijay Shankar didn’t have that experience, Rishabh Pant didn’t have the experience. Dinesh Karthik was an experienced guy who was sitting out and suddenly went to bat in the semifinal,” Yuvraj Singh had said while talking to Aaj Tak.

Meanwhile, India has had a perennial issue of getting a number four batsman. The team management has tried and tested a lot of batsmen for the position but no one has been able to grab his opportunities.
