Yuvraj Singh Wishes Zaheer Khan on His 40th Birthday

India batsman Yuvraj Singh wished his teammate Zaheer Khan on his 40th birthday pulling his leg in a funny way. Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan have been long time teammates for India. Both of the players made their debut in the ICC Knockout Trophy in Kenya back in 2000.

From there on both became an integral part of Team India which flourished under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly. Zaheer and Yuvraj were part of numerous victories for India with both playing crucial roles for the team in all formats of the game.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Yuvraj Singh wrote, “Fella !welcome to the 40s ? see you on the other side day after! Very few r left of you,my legendary friend God bless you always.” Yuvraj Singh has shared the dressing room with Yuvraj on quite a few occasions and both have shared a great rapport over the years. The duo has been an integral part of India from the 2000-2012 period.

Under the leadership of Ganguly, both emerged as the powerhouse for their nation. While Yuvraj Singh emerged as one of the most stylish batsmen India has ever produced. The way he tormented opposition bowling line-ups especially in the limited overs format made him undoubtedly one of the finest talents for India.

His six sixes in an over of Stuart Broad during a 2007 World Twenty 20 match is still a record. He is the only batsman to have hit 6 sixes in a T20I. On the other hand, Zaheer Khan also emerged as the finest fast bowlers from India under Kapil Dev.

He was one of the best exponents of swing bowling. Zaheer was one of the finest reverse swing bowlers and used the old ball to good effect. He was one of the main reasons along with Yuvraj Singh behind India’s World Cup victory in 2011 after 28 years.
