Pakistan great heaps praise on Virat Kohli
Zaheer appeared on the Gsports show on GTV News channel and urged the cricket experts to consider era, conditions and oppositions while assessing a player’s credentials. According to the Pakistan great, Kohli is set to break all batting records in the circuit.

At the moment Virat is best: Abbas
“I think at the moment Virat is the best. He will break all the records. But not only Virat, the Indian team has other top batsmen too. If you look at Rohit Sharma, you are just delighted to watch his strokes. One can only appreciate the beauty of his strokes. The variety of strokes in possession of Indian batsmen counts a lot,” Abbas said.
Candid confession
Zaheer lauded Kohli’s skills and said it doesn’t come easy. He said spending time at the wicket, occupying the crease is crucial. And with so many strokes in the book, it must give the batsman a lot of confidence.
“Obviously, the confidence will come when you have so many strokes and when you know how to stay at the wicket. These skills don’t come easily. It takes time, and hard work and one needs to develop a system for this,” he said.

Meanwhile, Zaheer represented Pakistan in 78 Tests, and 62 ODIs. He was at his candid best and said even Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq are yet to reach that standard.
He added the duo represents Pakistan and therefore there is a soft corner for them, but the batters are yet to achieve such standard set by Kohli.
