Zaheer Khan Comes Up With A Perfect Reply To Hardik Pandya's 'Disrespectful' Birthday Wish

Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya received a fair share of criticisms for a disrespectful birthday to former cricketer Zaheer Khan. However, the birthday boy took it sportingly and came up with a cheeky response which has put the social media on fire.

The celebrated India pacer Zaheer turned 41 on October 7 (Monday). He received a lot of wishes from all over the globe and rated him as one of the best Indian fast bowlers. However, Hardik Pandya tried to take a dig at Zaheer Khan while wishing him on his birthday.

“Happy birthday Zak … Hope you smash it out of the park like I did here @ImZaheer,” Hardik Pandya tweeted.

Soon after the post, Hardik Pandya received a lot of criticism for disrespecting a cricketer on his birthday. Many schooled Pandya about Zaheer Khan’s achievements including his performance in the 2011 World Cup where he took 21 wickets in the tournament. Khan finished as the second-highest wicket-taker.

Zaheer Khan thanked his fans for all the wishes and also took a subtle dig at Hardik Pandya over his birthday wish.

“Hahahaha….thank you for the wishes @hardikpandya7 my batting skills can never be as good as yours but the birthday was as good as the next delivery you faced from me in this match,” Zaheer said in reply to Hardik’s tweet.

Hardik Pandya is currently out of action owing to surgery in the lower back. Pandya underwent a lower-back surgery in London. The India allrounder, BCCI confirmed, had complained of lower back pain after the third T20I against South Africa in Bengaluru. He is likely to be out of action for the next two months.
