Zaheer Khan recently engaged with fans via the Question-Answer session on Twitter where he was asked about the leadership qualities of Rohit Sharma that impresses him the most. Khan was quick to point out that Rohit Sharma as a ‘relaxes aura’ about him, something that emanates throughout the squad. He also hailed Rohit for his decision-making skills under intense pressure.

“Well, the list is very long but for me what stands out is the quality which he has had that relaxed aura around him. Yet he is a very intense thinker and a very serious thinker of the game. That really shows when he makes those tactical calls on the field in pressure situations of the match and his teammates also really believe in him. So I think that quality I will put right up to bring out the best out of each and every teammate.” Zaheer Khan said on Twitter.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will take place in the United Arab Emirates between September 19-November 10. And, while Zaheer Khan admits that the squad that was chosen in the auctions was based on the home conditions, he exuded confidence in the fact that the team has all the bases covered and that it would quickly adapt to the conditions of the Emirates.

“Generally, the preference is given to the home conditions and the squads are selected accordingly. But the squads are generally well-rounded and so is the case with our squad. The MI squad is picked on the basis of covering all angles and the requirements of the conditions. So yes we will have to adapt to the conditions here and adapt quickly but we do have a squad which is all-rounded.” Khan added.
