Batting in Test cricket is a lot different from ODI and T20Is. In Test matches, batsmen can play an unlimited number of overs, unlike the ODI and T20I format. Hence, while scoring Test runs, batsmen can play at their own pace and do not have to worry about their strike rate. Due to this advantage, many batsmen manage to score a lot of Test runs during their career.

Indian cricket has seen many spectacular batsmen who had a prosperous career in Test.
