It is going to be a lot of T20 cricket action for the players from the month of September as the IPL will resume in UAE and it will be followed by the T20 Worldcup in October. The nations have started preparing for the big event by playing a lot of T20I matches and there will be a lot of eyes on those big hitters who can clear maximums at ease.
The previous edition of the T20 Worldcup took place in 2016 with the West Indies winning it against England in the most dramatic way with four sixes in four deliveries in the last over. The natural six hitters will certainly have an advantage over other batsmen and here are the five players with the most international sixes since 2018.
Five Players With Most T20 International Sixes Since 2018:
Virat Kohli:
Virat Kohli is fifth on the list of players that have the most sixes since 2018 and the Indian skipper has upgraded his game to the needs of the current era. Earlier, Kohli was a prolific boundary hitter down the ground and did not take the aerial root most of the time.
He has become a lot more stronger in recent years and even his mishits have cleared the ropes which is one of the great improvements in his game. Kohli has hit 50 sixes in international T20s since 2018 and he is going to be a match-winner for India in the T20 Worldcup averaging more than 50 in the format.
Aaron Finch:
Aaron Finch is one of the best limited-overs batsmen at the moment and he is also the Australian limited over captain at the moment. Finch is fourth on the list of players who have hit the most number of sixes in international T20Is since 2018.
Finch is one of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball and he is very destructive at the top of the order for any team he plays. He will have a big role to play in the T20 Worldcup and he is ranked second in the ICC T20 rankings for batsmen. Finch has hit 56 sixes for Australia in T20 internationals since 2016.
Colin Munro:
The New Zealand top-order batsman Colin Munro has been out of international action and is set to miss out on the New Zealand squad for the T20 Worldcup despite playing consistently for various franchises around the globe in T20 tournaments.
Munro is among the few batsmen to have scored three T20 international centuries and the left-hander plays a lot of aggressive shots. Munro has hit 59 sixes in T20 internationals for the Kiwis which is the fourth most by any player since 2018.
Rohit Sharma:
Rohit Sharma has been India’s best limited-overs player in the last two to three years for his ability to score those big match-winning knocks and his elegance has been always been personified in his shots. The right-hander is a terrific timer of the cricket ball and India is lucky to have his services.
Rohit will be the first choice opener for India in the T20 World Cup and he has hit the most number of T20 international centuries with four to his name. He is second on the list of players with the most sixes since 2018 as he hit 66 maximums for India in T20Is.
Martin Guptill:
Martin Guptill is one of the most consistent batsmen for New Zealand in T20 internationals and he is also among the few batsmen to have hit centuries in all the formats. The Kiwis will be expecting a lot from the right-hander in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Guptill is a natural six-hitter and can clear the ropes easily with his brilliant ball-striking ability. He holds the record for the most number of sixes in T20 internationals since 2018 with 68 sixes so far and he is ready to set the stage on fire in the T20 World Cup for New Zealand.
