The lower-order batsman had a big role to play in the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship finals between India and New Zealand and they kept their team in the hunt. It showed the amount of effort the bowlers have put in the nets to keep contributing to their team.

The teams have now invested in bowlers who can bat and it can be an extra advantage to the team while choosing the playing XI. With regards to the contribution of these tailenders, it is time to look at the best average of the number 9 -11 in the World Test Championship.

Best Average Of Number 9 -11 In World Test Championship:

Pakistan has a relatively poor average of 9.78 from the 9 – 11 batsmen which is the third-lowest in the World Test Championship and this has been one of the reasons for their downfall as they finished sixth in the points table.

West Indies – 9.95
