England cricketer Harry Brook has received staggering advice from his Test teammate Ben Duckett on the Indian crowd ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023. The latter told the youngster to shut the Indian fans up like he did during the IPL 2023.

A lot of eyebrows were raised when Harry Brook wasn’t named in England’s initial squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. However, after that, he performed magnificently well in whatever games he played and forced the selectors to include him in the squad.

Due to poor form and injury issues, Jason Roy had to face the unfortunate snub, and Harry Brook was included in the team. His inclusion makes England altogether a different team as he’s one of the best young players in the world cricket and he has been consistently scoring runs in all three formats for the team.

Harry Brook has played just six ODIs so far and has smashed one half-century as well. However, in the pinnacle of the game, Test cricket, he averages over 60 and has played some blistering knocks. With what he has done across the world for England, he will be a vital cog in the team.

As he was included in the team, Harry Brook posted a message on Instagram, in which he mentioned that he was elated to be part of the English squad. He added that he’s looking forward to playing again in India. Here’s the post:

But what caught the attention of many  was Ben Duckett’s reply on the post. England’s Test opener commented: “Make sure you shut them up again!!!”

To the reference, Harry Brook, who was part of the SRH in IPL 2023, failed miserably in the tournament. With him being acquired for INR 13.25 crores and not performing well, he received a lot of criticism.

However, he replied to all the trolls staggeringly as he smashed a century against KKR. After his ton, he said that he was glad to shut up the Indian fans who trolled him for his failures. But all the criticism returned again as Harry Brook after that ton failed in all the games.

“I was putting pressure on myself a little bit after the first few games. You go on social media and people are calling you rubbish. You start to doubt yourself a little bit. I just went out there with an ‘I don’t care’ mentality tonight and thankfully it came off. There are a lot of Indian fans out there who’ll say ‘well done’ tonight. But they were slagging me off a few days ago. Glad I could shut them up, to be honest,” Brook had said in the post-match presentation.
