ICC World Cup 2023: Opening Ceremony Of The World Cup To Take Place On 4th October In Ahmedabad - Reports

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in the Cricbuzz, it is learned that the opening ceremony of the ICC World Cup 2023 will take place on 4th October in Ahmedabad.
Although there’s no confirmation about the venue, it is speculated that Narendra Modi International Stadium will be hosting the inauguration of the tournament.
The reports have also suggested that members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), members of the executive board of the global cricket governing body, and representatives of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will also be present at the event.
The event will be more about the captains as ICC will be organizing a formal briefing session for the captains during this event, which will be referred to as ‘Captains Day.’ The leaders of the team will be arriving in the morning on 4th October as on 3rd October most of the teams will be engaged in warmup fixtures.
The captains of the team will be undergoing a photo session in the evening on 4th October and it is assumed that there’ll be a press conference as well. The opening ceremony of the tournament is also likely to see an infusion of color, tradition, and vibrancy.
Apart from the opening ceremony, Ahmedabad will be hosting the opening game of the ICC World Cup 2023 between England and New Zealand. The venue also will host the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan clash as well as the final of the tournament on 19th November.
